FIVE SENSES

FIVE SENSES:

The formative years of a child are crucial in shaping their future. School education undoubtedly plays an important role in molding a child’s personality. In addition to excelling in academics, children need to acquire skills that will help them enhance the physical, artistic and emotional aspects of their life and survive in this competitive world. And what better option than a field visit can be for skill development among our toddlers !
The little wonders of MSB Nasik were taken on the field trip to tapovan garden so as to commence the new concept of FIVE SENSES. Their senses were stimulated by looking at the beauty, hearing the drizzles, tasting the rainwater, feeling the dews on the leaves and smelling the petrichor of the rains.
The kids were blindfolded and were exposed to various smells and tastes ; they had to differentiate between not only good and bad smell but also various tastes like tangy, salty, sour, bitter, pungent etc.
The kids explored their sense of touch in the most unique way. They had a sensory ramble around the 9 coasters where they had to feel by touch through their feet and identify the surfaces which were rough, smooth, pricky, sticky etc .
They enjoyed watching the funny story named 'Popcorns' followed by actually enjoying the crackling of the popcorns as they were steaming up. The kids savoured the flavour by munching some of the popcorns.  Eventually they  were smart enough to decode this experience and co relate it to their concept of 5 sense organs as a part of their curriculum.
All our knowledge begins with the senses and then proceeds to the understanding.
